Self-Installation Waiver Form

While we strongly encourage myTop customers to have their tops installed by an Authorized myTop Dealer Installer, we understand that some Jeepers are adamant DIYers. For some Jeepers, it’s not a problem to install a myTop. However, we’ve had others who overestimated their abilities and damaged their tops before they ever got to use them. We have no way of judging your particular abilities so we can’t answer for certain whether YOU can install myTop. Only you can answer that question.

We are here to support you during the install. We will provide an electronic copy of the installation manual. In addition, we are available for phone and video chat support to assist you during installation. However, before we can provide that support, you need to submit this waiver acknowledging the inherent risks of self-installation.

  • I acknowledge and accept that myTop does not warranty their tops for damage caused during a self-installation.
  • I acknowledge and accept the risk of tearing fabric, burning out motors, or bending the frame during the install.
  • I acknowledge and understand there are critical times during the installation where a second set of hands is needed.
  • I acknowledge and accept that the costs of replacement parents for parts (including shipping damaged during self-installation are my responsibility.

I acknowledge and accept the risks of self-installing myTop on my Jeep and absolve myTop of any liability for damage that may occur to the top, the Jeep, or myself during the process. In no event shall myTop, its affiliates, directors, officers, employees or agents be liable for any direct, indirect, punitive, incidental, special consequential damages, to property or life, whatsoever arising out of connected with self-installing our products.
