Rather than compromising cargo space behind the rear seat, the top stacks up on the sides of the Jeep tub. With some proper mirror adjustment, drivers should have no trouble with visibility, in fact, when compared to the Jeep hardtop, the MyTop offers better rear view visibility for most drivers.

All our myTops have zippers on the sides of the rear window, so that it can be opened for convenient trunk access. On some models all windows can be removed (JL2D), on others the rear window can be removed (JK4D & JK2D) and on the JL4D the windows cannot be removed.
Yes, myTops work with the full doors, half doors, and even with no doors on as the top sits on top of the frame, attaches in the back, and is latched down at the front. So doors on or off, it's no different for the myTop.
The original MyTop was created in Aspen, Colorado. Not a place known for having a mild climate! We have many myTops driving around on Jeeps in Colorado, the NorthEast, the northern MidWest and Canada, in all weather conditions and all year around.
The top is designed to be an all-weather top. It is triple insulated and is quieter and warmer than the stock hardtop. But just like the stock hardtop, the soft top is not load bearing. Jeep warrants zero weight on the hardtop. All tops are designed to shield you from the elements, including ours.
The myTop can take rain and snow and, of course, it can take a pile of snow, too. Question is: what is a pile? And what kind of snow? The nice and fluffy type you can load on multiple feet and it is not a problem! The wet and icy type becomes really heavy, really fast. 5/10 inches may already be too much. Use common sense, please!
The vinyl of the windows can get hard and stiff in the cold so we recommend warming up your Jeep before operating your myTop when the outside temperature is below 40° to prevent potential cracking.
The top sits around the back trunk frame and takes up minimal trunk space.

If you can't find the perfect color among our stock options, please reach out to us to discuss your vision for your Jeep. To be very transparent, we cannot (unfortunately) make our own fabrics. That means we will have to source from the suppliers that are specialized in automotive convertible top fabrics. Their selection is limited, but sometimes we can find a small quantity of a really unique color. Over the past years we have done yellow, orange, purple and even a white myTop.

MyTop meets all standard safety regulations: motors, main drive gears, and linkages are covered with a safety shroud – the kiddos in the rear seat will not get their fingers pinched.
Electric fuses, soft coverings, and other protective implements ensure safe operation of the top as well.
The top will not operate, up or down, without the driver pressing the brake pedal.
In an abundance of caution, we recommend letting your riders know before operating the top.It's the operator's responsibility to make sure that it is safe to operate and that people inside or outside the vehicle are not in harms way of the moving linkage.
You should only operate your Jeep with the myTop fully open or fully closed. There is no middle “sunrider” position as the convertible top goes up and over the Jeep like you'd expect a traditional convertible to do. When you can close it or open as quick as you can with myTop and without leaving your seat, there isn't really a need for a middle position. myTop can be used in conjunction with a sun shade.
myTops can be customized to allow for a roof rack and we will be rolling out a myTop roof rack in the near future.
While there are some Jeeps out there who control their myTop with the AUX switches, we don't recommend it. Due to how the AUX switches receive power and when, it can cause issues with the normal operation of the myTop. Therefore, our wiring harnesses are not made to wire to the AUX switch and should not be altered to do so.
We recommend having myTop professionally installed. Product damage that results from self installation is not covered by warranty.

myTop was designed to attach to pre-existing holes in the Jeep tub, roll cage and windshield frame. Your Jeep warranty will never be compromised by a myTop or its installation process.
myTop convertible tops are all-year, all-weather tops. So you can enjoy its flexibility whenever you so desire. However, as it uses the pre-existing holes in the Jeep tub, it can be taken off again and be re-installed again too. The only question is, why would you want to do that? Like the hassle?
If you do decide to go for the seasonal switch, please make sure to store the myTop fully extended and ensure a proper re-installation!

myTop operates best with the Jeep level or near level. Operating while at an excessive angle can compromise the actuating arm of the top and should not be attempted.

Yes! Anytime you open the top be SURE that both latches are completely open. Failure to do so may result in serious damage to the gearing mechanisms.
Also be sure to stop your vehicle in a level position, failure to do so could compromise the actuating arms of the top!
Yes. We all have children, and we sought to protect little fingers and arms as much as possible when creating myTop.
Moving parts are tucked away as far as possible, and moving elements feature protective shrouds and coverings. All sharp spots and pinchy parts are tucked away and safely covered for your rear-seat riders.

myTop offers a warranty of two years from date of sale. This covers all the mechanical and electrical parts, except for the windows. Please note that scratches on the vinyl are to be expected from regular exposure to the elements (driving on city roads and off-roading) as well as operation of the top. Lubricants and similar maintenance items are also excluded.
This warranty does not include usual wear and tear, changes, modifications, incorrect storage, damage due to installation or removal by other than a certified installer, damage caused by accidents, carelessness, or any application for which this product was not intended.
myTop LLC cannot be held responsible for any direct or indirect consequences, or damages caused by accidents while using this product. This applies also to every other kind of damage due to the use of this product.
The warranty is not transferable. myTop is not responsible for any consequential damage, loss or expense for loss of use, loss of time, loss of profits or income or any other incidental damages arising directly or indirectly from a warranty claim. Other warranty rights may vary from state to state. The warranty includes parts only, no labor is included as may be required by installer or dealer.
The short answer is "less is more". You can clean the fabric and windows with specialty products from Wolfstein's. If you don't have them at hand, it's better to just use running water. Please no dish washing liquid!
The vinyl material of the windows can scratch easily, so please use running water to clear away any dirt first, before wiping the windows with a very soft cloth. The same goes before operating the top, be sure rinse away any mud first.
We do not recommend using gas station squeegees, as they often have dirty water and grime that may scratch your windows.
Yes, but we do not recommend it. Automatic carwashes use harsh detergents which can damage the water repellency and colorfastness of the fabric, and may damage the vinyl windows. Be careful with high-pressure water jets which may shoot soapy water at unnatural angles and force its way in between fabric components. We recommend using a lot of water to loosen the dirt and grime then gently washing the dirt off with a clean soft towel if needed. Rinse the towel thoroughly while using it to prevent scratches.
We can recommend the specialty product range from Wolfstein's. These cleaning and protective products have been created to the specifications of the fabric manufacturer.
Nope. myTops are "replacement systems" meaning, that with a myTop, you no longer need a soft top or hard top. myTop is all-season warm, all-season quiet for any climate. This means you no longer need to worry about where, and how to store your tops.
